We are a boutique tour operator based in Sydney, Australia. We organise and run small group tours to Turkey and several other destinations near Turkey. We have been running tours since 2001. During this time, we have run over 60 tours to 9 countries.

Hamit Ozturk is the director of Ozturk Tours. A Turkish-born Australian, Hamit has travelled extensively in all the countries where we operate tours. He has personally designed all Ozturk Tours, placing particular emphasis on individuality, originality, flexibility and the particular needs of English speaking travellers.





Why Ozturk Tours?

A great deal of thought goes into designing each and every tour to ensure that travellers on our tours experience the essence of the country they visit, not just the glossy brochure hype. Our tours are designed for discerning travellers with emphasis on individuality, originality and flexibility.

On our tours, travellers are accompanied with experienced overseas-born Australian tour leaders. This means you have a constant companion who knows the country, the best attractions, the people and their customs, the restaurants and the food. Your multilingual tour leader will be at hand to help decide what to see and do, and talk with the locals whether it be for business or for pleasure. He/she will help you drive a real bargain on your purchases, be it a colourful Turkish rug in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul or a ‘matrioshka’ (Russian doll) in Moscow.

You and Damla (tour guide) introduced us to a special country from so many different angles. Coming back and thinking of the long history of human habitation and the archaeological record of this, the landforms and special landscapes and how the many communities responded to this and had to change over time, as well as the recent history of Turkey, its place in modern history, and its good fortune of having a leader such as Ataturk to modernise the society, makes me realise what a truly special place it is.
