Kiev is the capital and the main centre. Here you can watch the elegantly dressed ladies walk along the Khreshchatyk (the Champs Elysees of Kiev) and visit world class attractions including the 11th century St Sophia Cathedral, the oldest standing church and containing some of the country’s greatest mosaics and frescoes and the Cave Monastery Complex on the banks of Dnipro River.

Other major centres you visit on this tour include the port city of Odessa on the Black Sea coast and the charming European style city of Lviv.

Foot Note

Travellers should not be put off by the recent political upheavals. Unfortunate as they are, we are sure that they will pass and Ukraine will once again become a peaceful and welcoming country that it has always been. In any case, we are looking ahead to 2015 and beyond.
